We Muslims follow the teachings of Jesus (pbuh) more than the Christians themselves.
Jesus (pbuh) was a Messenger of God, and he was given the Injeel (Gospel) to preach it to the Children of Israel. There was no prophet sent after Jesus (pbuh) except Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (may Allah send Blessings and Peace upon him), who was chosen to be the Last and Final Messenger. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was sent with the Noble Qur’an, not only to his people, but to the whole of mankind.
Although some of the teachings of the Qur’an match with the Bible found today, Muslims believe it is not the same Injeel that was given to Jesus (pbuh) due to its corruption through the passage of time.
