If you fast but you intentionally miss the ‘Asr prayer, all your good deeds will be annulled. You are not rewarded for your fasting and what you get is only thirst and hunger. Allah is not in need of your fasting. Furthermore, missing the ‘Asr prayer intentionally is like losing your family and wealth.
