Do You Want Allah to Respond by Saying, “Yes, Yes” to Your Supplication During Your Prayer?

Anas ibn Malik رضى الله عنه (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: “Umm Sulaim came to the Prophet ﷺ (may Allah send Blessings and Peace upon him) and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, teach me some words that I may supplicate with during my prayer.’ He said: ‘Glorify Allah (by saying SubhanAllah) ten times, and praise Him (by saying Alhamdulillah) ten times, and magnify Him (by saying Allahu Akbar) ten times, then ask Him for what you need; He will say: ‘Yes, yes.’” [Sunan an-Nasa’i (1299) and Jami’ at-Tirmidhi (481)]

Recite the tasbeeh (SubhanAllah), tahmeed (Alhamdulillah) and takbeer (Allahu Akbar), each of them ten times, after the final tashahhud before giving the salaam, and then ask for whatever you deem good. Allah will respond: “Yes, yes” to your du‘aa (supplication); that means He will definitely grant you the best outcome, according to His Wisdom, for your du‘aa. He knows what is best for us.

With full conviction, practise this Sunnah taught by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, especially during tahajjud. It will definitely change your life.

I pray that Allah guides us to adhere strictly to Al-Qur’an and As-Sunnah, to study them as much as possible, and to avoid all practices that have no basis in the teachings of our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. I pray that He protects us from being influenced by the Ahlul-Bid‘ah (the innovators) that are prevalent in our Ummah. I also pray that Allah increases us in beneficial knowledge, grants us enthusiasm in seeking it, and bestows upon us the true understanding of the pure teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Aameen.
